Six Months

Got my hair cut even shorter last week for a new job (they're conservative) and it almost feels like it was never long. Since I haven't really seen anyone but Bryn for the past week, I figured I would throw this side-by-side comparison of my hair in June with my hair today. Thought that I would miss my long hair more than I do. Maybe it was just something I had to do to get the whole "art school" experience and make up for some sort of lost adolescence? Or perhaps I've sold out in favor of corporate interests? Either way, I'm okay with it.

Post-Haircut

Here's my long overdue post-haircut photo. I still can't help feeling like it is a little "Eva Gabor Wig" looking, but I've gotten used to it by now and don't care. I'm just not used to it being so puffy and voluminous.

ELL OH ELL

Locks of Love (LOL) is a lovely nonprofit that helps provide hairpieces for financially disadvantaged children suffering from long-term medical hair loss. You may be wondering why I am bringing them up.

Its simple. I cut my hair.

Yes, my long, luxurious hair has been drastically shortened. I had decided it was time. And now I may be walking down the street someday and see a child wearing some familiar hair. Today I don't regret cutting it, but I am getting used to the new haircut. It isn't bad, its just SO different from what I had gotten used to.
